Howdy Elliot...

I gave it a spin.

Well put together pop song.
Nothing jumps out at me....clean, balanced mix, good performance of the tune.
You have a good clear voice and the harmonies work well.
I thought the harmonies could come up a db or so but that's not a crit....just a personal observation.

Well done....

Nicely done. I like the contrast between the totally dry vocal and the reverbed vocals.

Good write and presentation, Elliott. Excellent choice of bandmates. The harmony really sells it. Good bouncy feel, which can definitely influence one's choice of how that life should be lived. Happy to hear it. I'm now onto Perfect Harmony --one of my favorites.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Thanks everyone for the kind words. This is one of the only songs I did that is ALL BIAB ... I cant take any credit. I wrote, arranged and produced this in a single Sunday afternoon. Thanks to the magic of BIAB.

You sure made very professional use of the program then. This sounds really good.

Your vocal and harmonies have a Cat Stevens feel to them. I like that.

Hi Elliott,

This is a good Pop song and good groove.
Yes interesting vocal panning.
Minor suggestion - I think you could maybe add a little more reverb to your solo vocals to make them sit down in the mix.

Best Regards
Nigel

Sounds great in my headphones! smile

Excellent arrangement - smooth movement between instruments, everything interlocks and keeps the attention without crowding out the vocals.

And, or course, the vocals work really well - expressive lead singing and cool harmonies.

The echoing lyric and descending bass line help make the song "stick in my ear" after listening to it.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Hi Elliot ...

Super pop rock song! BIAB can be a marvelous tool when used to its best advantage - as you did with this song.

Like Herb said ... the contrasting vocals are great. They create some delicious dimensions in the vocal presentation. Really, really nice song.

That was a Sunday afternoon put to good use ... thanks for treat! Most of my songs, primarily instrumentals, are done from inception to posting in 5 or 6 hours - often less time than that.

Sweet!!!

Alan

Hello Elliot.
I’m not a lover of pop and not qualified to give an in depth critique but I think you did a good job on this.
Maybe a few too many cliches but a decent effort.

Wow! Janice almost immediately said, "well I'll have that in my head for a while." smile

The arrangement, the lyric and your vocals (cool BGV's) simply grab you from the get go to the end.

And this is a showcase in the showcase for the excellence of an all BiaB production ... in talented hands.

Well done!
